Nudity And What About the Kids

When we talk about naturism/ nudity and kids, it's common to hear, What about the kids? I used to question what parents believe will happen with their young child if they saw a naked man or girl putting on the plage in the sun.
Do they believe their thoughts will endure psychological damage? That they might grow up to be a pervert or addicted to sex? I never comprehended what actual reasons were behind these parents' worries.

The problem seems to come up frequently, and I noticed it in the movie I previously posted about the woman who got in trouble for going bare around her house. (Watch it below.)
This guy is so concerned about his children seeing the naked lady next door. It seems ludicrous she should be such a danger, but it is not hard to believe many other parents would respond exactly the same way.

Additionally , I came across a similar concern in an article about a possible topless beach being sanctioned in Asbury Park. First, one revealing opinion against it's, "Some things have to be saved for private moments with their significant other in the bedroom.."
For another individual who is a dad, he declared he personally has no difficulty with topless beaches. But watching his two young daughters he quickly added I do not need them to be exposed to that.' It is not even full-frontal nudity he is worried about, but merely exposure to women's breasts.

There's absolutely an over-sexualization of female breasts in the U.S. We learn in the media that breasts are sexual and prohibited, and it is against regulations to expose them almost anywhere outside the bedroom.
And we are living in an age where individuals are very paranoid about pedophiles and child pornography.
In America it can be hard for anyone to take innocent pictures of a naked kid without being charged as a sexual criminal. You will find tons of examples of this in the media, but check out the authentic story line behind this recent novel about a photographer who faced serious repercussions from some photographs.
Given this common nudity = sex perspective, it becomes much easier to understand parents' caveat as it pertains to nudity and their children. It is obvious that we still need to shift those preconceived notions of what a naturist setting is really like, and encourage the beautiful, natural, non sexual aspects of naturism. I spent my youth in any of these settings, and grew up comfortable with my own body from a young age with a healthy attitude towards nudity.
And and of course the gratifying experience of having a close community of amazing people to look after me, educate me things, and help me grow. So what about the children? I consider a child who is introduced to or raised in a family naturist setting can have an extremely free-spirited childhood and a greater probability of having more self-confidence and considerably greater body-approval than your average American!
