NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of visitors from the United States. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022, an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.

"We are getting close to our record-setting numbers in 2019. We anticipate that this increase will continue as Canadians visit more countries.

Israel welcomed more tourists from all over the world in 2019 than any other country. 969 600 of these were American. Israel's official reopening to all travelers was May 2018. The country has already received more than 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
