How To Set Up A Minecraft Server LAN

From AI Knowledge
Jump to: navigation, search

You can share the virtual worlds you create in real-time with other players on the network. "Minecraft” allows you to open up your game to the local area network. To access your world, players do not need to log on to your physical network. However software like LogMeIn Hamachi (Comodo Unite), and Wippien allows you to create virtual networking LANs with other users around the world. These virtual networks are no different to physical networks for "Minecraft". To host a LAN gaming session in Minecraft, connect other players and configure the game to allow others.

Virtual LAN

Download, install and open LogMeIn Hamachi, Comodo Unite or Wippien (links in the Resources).

Click on the power button and then click on "Create" Hamachi. For Comodo Unite click "Register New Account", fill out the form, then click "Register." For Wippien fill out the form when you open Wippien and click "OK". To create a Jabber Account,

Click "Create A New Network" in Hamachi. Click "Sign me In" for Comodo Unite. Select "Networks" from your menu bar and then click "Create New Network." Wippien can be found on the toolbar by clicking the "+" symbol and then clicking "Add/Remove contacts."

Enter a network name, password, and click "Create in Hamachi." Enter a network name, password, and check "Enable VPN" before clicking "Create." For Wippien enter the Jabber ID from another player, click "Add contact," and then click on "OK."

Give your Jabber ID, or the virtual network name and password, to the other players to enable them to connect to the virtual LAN.
