Admincraft Minecraft Server Talk for Serious Admins and Developers

Hello, I've had an issue with I suppose an hacker and I'm bit scared.

I was playing on a server I run using spigots with my friends. I was two people online playing when someone randomly entered. I asked the person who it was and he promptly logged out. After that I received an email stating that I was log in to the server, but failed and attempted to log in. I realized something was wrong and ran to my puffer screen where I had located my server. I shut it down. I could read in the console that I was trying to login again, and that another person different from the first user joined, and I offered him op.

Since I've only managed survival servers with friends, I am a novice in managing servers. I'm not knowledgeable about server management so I'm not sure what I should do. What can I do to prevent another event from occurring? And what do I do? I changed my password on Microsoft but I don't know whether that helped

How to stay engaged and play on the server when you're also in charge of adminning?

Title says it all , but the question is how do you keep your interest and motivation playing on servers you manage when you're also accountable for maintaining, config fixing shits, resolving disputes, etc. ?

Longer version:

My first server was set up for my community around 6 to 7 months ago. Since since then, we've been running three servers. Most recently I changed from multiverse to a network in order to help spread the load and make things run more efficiently. I've been playing in a hardcore universe which I created (still on the network so I can chat and stuff, but not in our main survival server) more than I join the survival server.

One of my mods mentioned that servers cease to function when the owner is no longer active. It's been causing me anxiety since she said it. I've noticed that the more I play, the more other users play, and the reverse is true. This could be because I am a streamer so people are part of the community of my stream and are engaging me and my content, however I'm still struggling.

The only time I am active is when I make something completely new or add to it. I'm currently working on an rpg/mmo server with custom mobs and dungeons. However, it feels like joining existing servers is answering questions and solving problems for others, and not having fun.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Home Minecraft modded server

Hi.

I'm thinking of running an altered Minecraft server from my home. There is nothing public that I can access, other than my girlfriend and some friends. I have 6-7 computers total. The processor appears to be gone from my old computer. It's an old socket 1150 and 16GB of ddr3 RAM. I would recommend the i5 4690 processor as it has the highest performance for my money. It could run older versions of servers, such as 1.16.5 Forge server that has 50-120 mods and vanilla's most recent version Server? (not at the same time)

We appreciate your help.

Luckperms 1.16.5 Forge

Is there a Luckperms Version for 1.16.5 Forge if not are there any mods similar to this I could use
