Recently prevailed fashion adaptations of comics.

The resulting films recounting the adventures of Spider-Man, mutant team X-Men and Daredevil. So the time came for another hero - Hulk, one of the oldest and most popular comic characters in the world.

Filming Ang Lee, which cost 120 million dollars, is the first high budget film with a green hero.

In a secret military base conducts research. A brilliant scientist David Banner (Nick Nolte) does not receive permission to conduct them on the people, therefore, against orders, he begins to experiment on himself.

In the meantime, the world comes the son of a doctor who had the misfortune inherited genetic changes caused by his father's research. David notes that, but his work on a cure does not bring the expected results. When the army decides to give up the services of a scientist, it leads to a huge explosion in the laboratory. He is captured and imprisoned in an insane asylum, and Bruce (Eric Bana) - his son - goes to a foster family. Like his father is a scientist and also begins to conduct research. One day, an accident in the laboratory, the result of which accepts lethal dose of radiation of ordinary people. As a result, the stress and enormous anger, Bruce transforms for a time in a large green monster ... I have to admit that "Hulk" did not impress me. The film is primarily for long.

It takes 138 minutes, but a lot of scenes contained in it is either unnecessary or too long. The first hour goes on. The situation is improving at the moment when the screen shows a green monster, but unfortunately the scenes involving the Hulk is not in the movie as much as I would have expected. It was also a powerful opponent, which could face Hulk and show what they really can do. Clumsy army, and then the mutated father is not enough. There is also the end of the delights that falls very pale.

This is the weakest point of the film, and yet it it should make the viewer out of the theater happy ...

Visually, "Hulk" presents very well.

Special effects are great. Fighting mutant dogs and battle with tanks in the desert are scenes that remain long in the memory. That can not be described, you have to see. A little teasing way to get around the main character, who jumps from place to place almost like a grasshopper, and that overcomes the distance in my opinion are too large in relation to the original. From time to time in the film it used a split screen, which shows the part of each of its consecutive shots. This interesting treatment makes the viewer may feel that watching a comic. The game presents a different level of acting, but generally above average. Eric Bana feels pretty good in his role, what you see on the screen. Jennifer Connelly, who again plays the beloved genius, mad scientist (this time green), is not entirely convincing in his role, especially in the dialogues conducted by it falls unfavorably.

Sam Elliott as General is as it should be. His form did not miss much and you can not fault it. Nick Nolte plays well, trying as it may, but his character in the film was for me as a disappointment. It not fully polished and often silly Nick must deliver speeches, which are often difficult to understand for spectators and a little chaotic.

After all, Nolte did what he could and praise him for it.

I must admit that I like to watch movies, which are adaptations of comics, but "Hulk" failed me. Earlier cartoon adaptations of stories like "Spider-Man" and "X-Men 2" were much better picture of Ang Lee ..
